Bienvenida Gaby! / Welcome Gaby!

On Monday Gaby decided that it was about time to come out and join us. I don´t have a lot of friends with babies and I´m not quiet used to see them in their new role. It seems like it was yesterday when we were out partying, studying and eating every piece of chocolate that we could get our hands on. But, truth be told, its been a long while and we have shared a lot of (very) good moments a (very) bad moments and we still are walking together each other´s paths.

I enjoyed a lot making this little project for her. My version of the shoes is quiet different from the pattern (I don´t know what I did different) but since they are my first attempt I think they are ok. You can find the pattern in Lion Brand (for free). I used cotton yarn and a #4 hook.
The bib´s design (or self-portrait) was made by Alvaro and stitch by me. I´ve been stitching this bibs for the babies around me for the past 4 years.
I was just at the hospital meeting Gaby...she really is one of the most beatiful newborn baby I´ve seen! ;)

  1. Thank you! My apologies for posting twice but the first time didn't seem to take. I wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your pictures because my booties didn't turn out like the pictures at Lion's Brand and I was feeling pretty disheartened. Mine look just like yours, so I am happy with them and will give them to my newest great grandson. - Nancy
